The amount of additional dry matter (DM) production is dependent on the natural capacity and growth rate of the pasture at application. Both grasses and clovers respond to ProGibb. ProGibb can be used strategically when demand for feed outweighs supply, helping to reduce the impact of feed shortages at certain times of the year (see graph 1 below).
Over 52 replicated New Zealand trials have proven that ProGibb results in an additional 30-60% more pasture dry matter (DM) within a three week period. For example if a paddock was currently growing around 30kg DM/ha/day, with the use of ProGibb you could expect an increase to 39-48kg DM/ha/day or an extra 189-378kg /DM/ha within three weeks. After three weeks the pasture's growth rate will return to normal.
